Sustainability policy and important issues (materiality)

The Hurxley Group has been working to realize both the realization of a sustainable society and the realization of the sustainable growth of the Group in order to realize its management philosophy of "Creating a prosperous future and for the health and happiness of all people." To further promote sustainability management, we have recently clarified our Basic Policy on Sustainability and identified important issues (materiality). We hereby announce the following:

Basic Sustainability Policy

We, the Hurxley Group, have worked with our customers and other stakeholders to create a prosperous "future." Through our business activities, we have continued to take on challenges to build a sustainable, secure and safe lifestyle and to protect the global environment.
For Herxray, sustainability is the pursuit of sustainability for both the environment, society, and corporations. To realize these goals, we believe it is important to identify important issues (materiality) to be addressed by the Hurxley Group, incorporate them into the goals of our long-term management strategy, and work to resolve these issues through our business activities. The Hurxley Group is committed to "creating a prosperous future" and passing it on to the next generation.

Sustainability Promotion System

Our Group has established the Sustainability Committee as an organization for continuously conducting sustainability activities. Based on our Basic Sustainability Policy, we identify and review material issues from a long-term perspective. The Sustainability Committee incorporates into the goals of our long-term management strategy and deliberates and discusses issues addressed to pursue sustainability of both the environment and society as well as the company four times a year. The content of discussions and decisions made by the Sustainability Committee are determined by the Group after reporting and submitting to the Board of Directors and making resolutions. The committee is chaired by the Chairman of the Board and the President and consists of members from all of our executives and employees.

Identification of Material Issues (Materiality)

In order to "create a prosperous "tomorrow," our group has continued to take on the challenge of building a sustainable, safe and secure foundation of life and protecting the global environment through our business activities, working together with our customers and other stakeholders. For our group, sustainability means pursuing both environmental and social sustainability and corporate sustainability. To realize these goals, we believe it is important to identify the key issues (materiality) that our group should address and incorporate them into the goals of our long-term management strategy to work on resolving those issues through our business activities.

Process for Identifying Material Issues (Materiality)

With the cooperation of outside experts, we have identified material issues (materiality) through the following process.
Our Group's material issues (materiality) will be evaluated and verified by the Sustainability Committee as necessary and reviewed.
